Microsoft .NET framework 4.0 requires the EPLAN platform to run. More information and the current version of this Microsoft component is available for download from the Microsoft website.

You will find .NET Framework 4.0 on your EPLAN storage medium. Switch here to the following directory: cd-romServicesNet Framework 4.0en_US

To install the .NET Framework, double-click the DotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe file.

The EPLAN platform supports 64-bit variants of Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems.

The operating system must support the installed EPLAN language.

64-bit version of the EPLAN platform

If you are using EPLAN platform in 64-bit version, keep in mind the following special points:

  • If you want to use Access databases for partition management, project management, and dictionary, both the Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Office applications (among others Microsoft Access) must be fully installed in the 64-bit version.
  • If you install Microsoft Office applications in 32-bit version, you must use SQL Server databases for partition management, project management, and dictionary.
  • Cannot change to SQL Server databases for EPLAN PPE. In order to use EPLAN PPE in the 64-bit version, both the Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Office applications (among others Microsoft Access) must be fully installed in the 64-bit version.
